(On Mondays, the tent closes at 7:30 PM.)
Here you can relax, get creative, play games or simply enjoy spending time together with the other families.
Volunteers will be present throughout the day, but the tent may also be used when no volunteers are around.
Coffee, tea and squash are available all day. If anything runs out, please feel free to make more for yourself and others.
The tent is our shared meeting place, so please help take care of the equipment and tidy up after use, so everyone can enjoy it.
In the tent, you will find plenty of creative materials that are free to use:
Jewellery beads
Hama beads and pegboards
Markers for stones, glass, porcelain and textiles
Glass, porcelain and textiles for decorating
Pens, colouring supplies and drawing materials
Paper, card, glue, tape and stickers
…and much more
There are lots of fun activities for children, teenagers and adults:
Board games and family games
Card games and party games
Outdoor games and ball games
Throwing, balance and teamwork games
Sports equipment and activity gear
In short, there is almost always something to do.
Everything in the tent may be used and borrowed.
If you would like to take a game, a ball or anything else outside the tent, simply fill out a small borrowing slip so we always know where things are.
We simply ask that you treat everything as if it were your own and help tidy up after use, so the next family can enjoy it too.
Children must always be with an adult
No one under the age of 18 may stay in the tent without a responsible adult aged 18 or over.
Parents are responsible
Parents are responsible for ensuring that children and young people use materials, games and equipment safely and appropriately.
Tidy up after yourselves
When you are finished, please leave tables, materials, games and activity areas tidy for the next family.
Use items correctly
Materials, games and equipment may only be used for their intended purpose.
Borrowing items
If you would like to take games, balls or other items outside the tent, please complete a borrowing slip.
Take good care of the equipment
Please treat all equipment and materials with respect. In cases of deliberate damage or serious misuse, compensation may be required.
Be considerate
Everyone should feel welcome here. Speak kindly, show consideration and help create a positive atmosphere.
Safety first
No running, ball games or rough play inside the tent. Those activities belong outside.
