Carina is always happy to help, find solutions and do her best to make sure everyone has a wonderful holiday.
However, the rules apply to both volunteers and families.
In previous years, she has sent both volunteers and families home for breaking the rules.
💚 But if the rules are followed, she is actually as gentle as a lamb and very kind.
Alcohol and other intoxicating substances are not permitted during the holiday stay.
This applies to both participants and volunteers.
The ban also includes alcohol-free beer, wine and similar products.
Smoking is not permitted inside the holiday accommodation.
This rule applies even if the holiday park would normally allow smoking.
Failure to comply with these rules will result in immediate removal from the holiday stay.
Children under the age of 15 may not use the pool area without a responsible adult aged 18 or over.
Running is not allowed in the pool area.
Pushing, rough play and dangerous behaviour in the water are not allowed.
Please show consideration for other children, families and guests.
Everyone must wash thoroughly with soap in the pool shower area before entering the water.
Remember to wash:
Hair and scalp
Face and neck
Armpits
Hands
Stomach and back
Legs and feet
Intimate areas
This helps keep the water clean and pleasant for everyone.
💚 If you are a little shy, you can help each other by holding up a towel to create some privacy while washing.
Children from approximately 7 years of age should normally use the changing room and shower facilities that correspond to their own gender.
If a child needs assistance, we recommend arranging help from an adult of the same gender or contacting a volunteer.
Please respect the privacy and comfort of other guests in the changing and shower areas.
Only approved swimwear may be used.
T-shirts, shorts, underwear or other everyday clothing are not permitted in the water.
Many forms of modest swimwear are approved and fully permitted.
All children under the age of 3 must wear a Happy Nappy swim nappy.
This also applies to children who are normally toilet trained.
Swim nappies will be provided upon arrival.
In previous years, individual families and even entire holiday groups have lost access to the swimming pool because the rules were not followed.
Failure to respect the pool rules may result in removal from the pool area and, in serious cases, removal from the holiday stay.
Parents are always responsible for their own children.
If a parent wishes to leave supervision to another adult:
The other adult must agree to take responsibility
The adult must be at least 18 years old
One of the volunteers must be informed
Lack of supervision may result in exclusion from activities or removal from the holiday stay.
You are welcome to receive visitors during the holiday stay.
For safety reasons, the Holiday Leader must always be informed if visitors come to the site.
Visitors may not stay overnight.
Only the people listed on your application and participant list may take part in the holiday stay and stay overnight in the accommodation.
The Holiday Leader receives an official participant list from Dansk Folkehjælp and may only admit those who are registered on the list.
Failure to comply with this rule may result in the immediate removal of the entire family from the holiday stay.
To ensure that everyone can enjoy a good holiday and a proper night's sleep, quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM.
No loud music, shouting or excessive noise after 10:00 PM
Music, films and conversations should be kept at a reasonable volume, especially near open windows and outside cabins or tents
Please respect other guests and the holiday park’s quiet-hour rules
Shared areas should be left quietly late in the evening
Children and young people may not wander around the holiday area alone late at night
Please respect requests from volunteers or staff for additional quiet
💚 Cosy evenings are very welcome.
On Sunday, we will hold our shared information meeting and Holiday Hunt.
Here you will get a good introduction to the holiday park, activities and the most important information about the holiday stay.
All participants must take part in the Holiday Hunt (Information Meeting).
Pets are not permitted during the holiday stay.
If you stated in your application that you have a service dog, documentation must be sent to:
post@folkehjaelp.dk
before the holiday stay.
The documentation must also be brought with you and shown to the Holiday Leader upon arrival.
All participants aged 15 and above must complete evaluation forms about the holiday stay.
The evaluation will take place on Thursday at 7:00 PM in the tent.
It is important that you remember to indicate:
That you participated in a holiday stay with Dansk Folkehjælp
That the holiday stay included shared activities and community experiences
To protect everyone's privacy and create a safe environment, both volunteers and families must decide how photographs may be used during the holiday stay.
All families and volunteers must indicate whether Dansk Folkehjælp may take and use photographs during the holiday stay.
Separate consent is given regarding whether photographs may be used publicly, for example on social media, websites, posters or other information materials.
If you take photos or videos of other families during the holiday, permission must always be obtained from the people appearing in the images before they are shared or used.
This also applies to photographs shared on private social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat.
It is important that we all respect each other's personal boundaries and privacy.
Some families may live under protected circumstances, and sharing photographs without permission may create discomfort or, in the worst cases, be dangerous.
💚 Please always ask for permission before sharing or publishing photographs.
